If anything, the gap caused wind noise or/and water leak issue. I don't have water leak issue, but I haven't driven the car during torrential downpour. I did notice wind noise at higher speed (above 60mph) I put a piece of tape on it to see if it helps with wind noise and I noticed quite a significant improvement.

I will bring it up next time I go into service and hopefully they will replace the seal. I don't think it should have a half inch gap on the sunroof. I rather not have the gap on the sunroof while I still have warranty.
