I'm not sure why so many people do not like the auto hold function...I really appreciate not having to hold the brakes when stopped to keep the vehicle from crawling ahead, or if on a steep enough grade, going backwards.
If it is misadjusted, it can grab before you come to a full stop, but that can be fixed. That can be annoying. My X5 is the first one that remembers the setting...the previous BMWs I've had, it got reset each time you started it and that was annoying, but hitting the button became a habit. I'm glad it is 'sticky' on the G05.
