Had to post this because it shows how far the insanity has gone.
2025 Dodge Charger EV Could Feature Fake Engine Vibrations
We’ve heard about fake exhaust tips and engine noises being implemented into electric vehicles, but there’s still something missing on electric muscle cars: the bone-rumbling feel of a V8 engine at full-throttle, or even at idle, for that matter. According to a patent filed by Stellantis, the new Dodge Charger EV will imitate the engine vibrations of a V8-powered muscle car.
Mopar Insiders recently discovered the filed patent, which was submitted earlier last year.
The new system is called Active Vibration Enhancement (AVE) and emits fake vibrations to mimic the rumble of a V8 engine by using a force generator that transmits vibrations to specific points on the vehicle.
