I have a 2022 45/e. It developed the same problem a little more than a year in -- groaning noise when the steering wheel extended to the driving position. It made no noise at any other time. It got progressively louder with time until I couldn't ignore it.
The dealer greased the column and that did the trick. It was under warranty so no charge. However, a year later it has started to make the noise again. Just faintly and intermittently so far, not consistent enough to take it back in. I still have a couple of warranty years left but I'm concerned about what happens after that.
