I got things to work, very strange, I reset the vehicle data in Car/Settings/General settings/ reset vehicle data.
Afterwards everything was lost but all the menu items were there and i was able to configure the drive recorder and remote 3d view. All the apps in connected drive showed up as well. I wonder if it had anything to do with setting up my driver profile. Now i am just under guest.
now that i know how to reset and what that does i will probably try to set up my driver profile again.
