I may change mine early. I have always done this and all my keeper vehicles last forever. All my 911's have had the oil changed at the 3k mark after break in. After this long trip I just did, I probably will change the 50i's oil at the 5k mark. I am at 2400 now. It will be warm by then. Funny enough the 50i uses about the same amount of oil as my 911's. Its just a case of oil and filter.
