I've had exactly one flat tire in those 240,000 miles (I do 20K per year average) . It was in my driveway and BMW flatbedded me to their shop.
I'll take my chances with just a BMW flat tire kit and no spare.
(I'm sure I'll have my 2nd flat when I get to my car after work, but that's what I get for opening my big mouth ).

How did you get rid of your run flats? Sold them to who?

I flip flop between leasing and buying (my work gives me a nice allowance for lease but not to buy).
I just post on the regional forums here and always am able to get rid of tires easily
If it's a lease, I store the run-flats to return the car with and then give away the go-flats and snows at lease end.
If it's a buy, I sell the run flats for a very low price. There's always somebody looking for a deal on tires and I don't want to store them forever
