Simple test is to just turn on the turn indicator with the headlights set to "Auto". It does need to be dark enough for the headlights to be on. Another test is to put the car into reverse with the headlights on. The cornering lights on both sides should turn on (they did in the X3, 5, and 7 in the showroom).

Yes, they are on the inside corners of the lights and they face towards the outside.
They came on in my 435 and 528 both with adaptive LED pkg in reverse, but the G05 has that odd wording that they "may" come on in reverse. I don't think I ever noticed mine either in any circumstance |
Do they project up to hit the reflector? Because I see reflectors on the inside of the lights that looks like those would project to the side but no element in front of the reflector.
