Well we have a 100,000Km or 5 year BMW Motorplan here where BMW pays for all service items except tires and any problems with the car have to be fixed free for that peroid.
If there was a problem with the service intervals causing damage or shorter life BMW would never give us the motorplan, since they have to fix any problems that arrise in that time
