In normal hybrid mode, you have more Hp than the 40i, and the torque is higher because of the electric motor.
My guess is that the detuning was done for efficiency reasons and the gearing as well. The manual doesn't seem to list the final drive gearing, so I don't know if they're different. Because of the higher torque, the ICE and hybrid could be different.
