Got the heat shield yesterday for my 21 X6 and was disappointed with the fit. I don’t have the DAPP, so that’s not the issue, but the heat shield was slightly too tall. Even with the bottom edge jammed against the windshield bottom/dash, the top of the shade won’t fit under the top edge of the windshield. It’s also pretty stiff to get around the rear view mirror.
Right now, I’ve got it propped up at a shallow angle held in place by the lowered sun shades hoping that over time in the sun it will soften up a bit. I’ve had heat shields before and this is the first one I’ve ever had fitting problems with.
