If turned on (enabled), the X5 will try to keep you in lane. Crossing a lane marker without using your turn signals will cause the vehicle to try to return to the center of the lane. So, a couple of potential things:
- the lane markings are kind of obstructed and it can't literally tell where it is
- she's touching or crossing a lane marker and not using the turn signals (an unfortunately common practice, that's also illegal).
