My folks feel the same. After owning multiple X5s but skipping the F15 generation because it was numb and disconnected, they finally got into a loaded M sport G05 since the E70 was just getting too old. The G05 does some typical X5 stuff well like having plenty of space for a family and your groceries, having a good driving position, good tech, etc. The Tartufo Individual interior pops too.

However the driving experience is basically crap, and anybody claiming otherwise has never owned an E53 or E70 generation X5. Yes the powertrain and chassis are good, but the car is so damn floaty it feels like an old Cadillac DTS and literally makes you nauseous. Even the poor dog starts crying after an hour in that car. The steering feels completely removed from the road to the point its disconcerting. Even small steering inputs cause body roll throughout the cabin. They have a Porsche Cayenne loaner for their other car and it's night and day.

This will be their last X5. If one is content with a boring driving SUV then may as well get a Range Rover Sport, at least it looks trendy AF and isn't as common.
