I've sat in the GV80 and have test driven the G70. The GV80 was a nice interior, but still not as nice as the X5. The G70 was a fantastic car to drive, but the 3 series is better in every way except comfort.

That being said, I like the competition. If anything, it forces the established luxury brands to continue to stay at the top of their game and continue innovating. Without competition from these up and comers you tend to see large luxury brands going stale, resting on their laurels.
