New user here!
I’ve come across this as I’ve been looking to order a 50e. Dealer has told me that there is currently an 11/12 month wait on new ones.
I had just put a deposit down on a used 50e from dealer from early 2023 but reading this makes me think it’s potentially a bad idea.
They also have a mandatory recall on them in the UK to do with the intergrated breaking system, which I’ve seen on this forum too. They’re unable to release the car or even allow a test drive on it till this issue is fixed.
I’m fairly new to ordering a new car so my question is, is 12 months a long time or is this pretty standard?
Could this be due to the fact they have paused production whilst trying to get to the bottom of this?
I had originally decided to go with BMW as I’d assumed it would be a fairly reliable car but reading this forum makes me think I should give the 50e a pass for at least a while. Too many red flags.
It does look like a great car though.
If I go ahead are there any tips to try an minimize the damage from
This issue?
