I believe they are waiting for BMW to decide. Certainly there is always a comfort vs looks compromise when using a 22" wheel on a SUV. The main issue is extra measures like foam in the tires may have been required to use the larger wheel tire combo to maintain the excellent ride standards one expects from a BMW. The X5M/X6M should also be having these issues??? I don't believe this issue has popped up on asphalt roads so that could be why some are not as sensitive to hearing it. |

It's definitely less apparent on newly paved asphalt roads. Can the service department perform the foam insertion?
