The high end audio business has thrived for decades (B&O, Mcintosh Labs, etc), there are plenty of people who like the discernible differences heard by these brands, enough to keep them in business. Why not also have high end in your car, I mean if you like it and can appreciate it, you like it everywhere. Apparently your BMW sales guy is not one who appreciates it.
