What type of legal issue could there be? There is nothing that says there are safety/automatic systems that will prevent an accident or even mitigate one. The manual is full of warnings concerning that. Not saying of course they should get them working. Guess you could try to sure for breach of contract for not having the system at least minimally functional since it is advertised.
