The waiting list is fairly long. If you're willing to wait to take delivery, it can happen, but you may not want to wait that long.
I've done it once, but it was way back in 2011. They were doing it in larger groups then (pre-COVID) of I think it was 16 or so, but since most people had two per car, maybe it still was 8!? In that case, I had a long lead time on the vehicle, so it wasn't a big deal...I did European delivery and drove it around Germany, and instead of having it shipped to my dealer, had it delivered to the PCD for ultimate (second) delivery. They're not offering US European delivery any more. Too bad, as it also gave you a decent, no hassle discount and the experience was nice with a visit to a factory and the museum there in Munich. I'm guessing if you live in Europe, you can still pick it up there, but don't know for sure. That came also with a voucher to use in the gift shop and at the restaurant. They treated you well there.
