Oculus has some announcements today, hoping a price-drop is one of them.
I've bought and spent time in almost all the current gen sims and nothing comes close to Assetto Corsa for me. I don't bother driving in anything else.

If you want to run the oculus for sim racing, you really want a higher end PC with a 980gtx minimum, but preferably a 1080. Being able to run a steady 90fps and a high pixel density is key. High frames because stutters break the immersion and can make you feel sick. High pixel density because the headset resolutions are just barely acceptable to see the next corner down the track. If you have to run a lower pixel density it's almost impossible to judge upcoming corners.
