So I posted the instructions from the 50e manual, because that's what the OP posted?
But I have a 45e, and I absolutely have this disabled and it works perfectly.
I cannot stand when the car shuts down when I open the door, so I have it unticked, and everything stays on until it locks (in my case, as I walk away from the car with fob in my pocket).
