The receipt purchase date of your membership is separate from the effective dates of your BMWCCA membership.
Since you purchased your membership before December 31, 2019, you'll be grandfathered in under the current terms and will not have to wait six months. This new change will only affect memberships purchased after December 31, 2019.
When you sign into your BMWCCA account, your membership info should show your actual join date and paid through date, see attached.
For new BMWCCA membership purchases, your membership period always starts on the first of the next month you purchased your membership and runs X years until the end of the preceding expiration month. For example if you purchased a new 3yr membership back in November, your membership effective dates would be 12/01/19 to 11/30/2022.
