Yes, hobbies are important in life and more than just to add fun or pass the time! I was at Apple for 28 years and left in 2009. One thing led to another and I found myself turning a videography hobby into a second career. Now I work part time and still have time for my other diversions, among them are golf, amateur theater, and restoring vintage audio.

My dad never cultivated hobbies and at 91, still works some. Not because he has to, because he's got nothing much else to do. He's quite healthy and could pursue hobbies if he had them.

Find and cultivate your hobbies. You never know what life may bring.
