The launch control will give you very consistent launches but have shown not always the fastest. There is a lot going on trying to put the power down.
It would be interesting to test launches in the rain with and without launch control and see if it isn’t faster. Having enough HP is not the issue any more. We already have more than enough for a muscle/luxury SUV. The struggle is putting it down. Light to light racing the X5 will crush most rwd sport/muscle cars. It will absolutely embarrass them.
. We had a long thread on this showing many high power cars like the Hellcat struggling to get a under 5 second 0-60 because they can’t put the power down even in good conditions.
I expect the new X5M to be a strait out stealth predator to traditional exotic sport cars.
