CCBs are worth it on a sporty car that isn't being tracked since they usually last 100k miles or so. But on a car this big and heavy, CCBs won't last anywhere near that long making them a HORRIBLE decision unless you shit money.
Indeed. But a cheaper way is to just get the "service package" that includes the brakes. You are totally right about it being on a "sporty car"! A nice canyon drive or long way home can be exhilarating with them! Most people though have no idea how to properly use them and go into shock when they are told how much a replacement costs or how many times they have their car in the shop because of noise or... On an M3/4CS, yep! Would totally do it! 911, yep! X-anything... nope! Even the M5 is a tight spot! My service guy who has been with BMW for 40yrs and was part of their racing program advises people against them unless they will "actually" use them. They have more complaints about them than anything else on newer cars, only because people aren't actually using them.
