NYC- NYPD Highway patrol still uses lots of Ka Band. they just park at the side of the road and leave it going full blast.
they also love to use their driverside mirror to bounce the lidar gun beam off of, instead of parking perpendicular to traffic. i think this causes alot of scatter as i can pick up a beam aimed at another car...
hardwired V1 Gen2 plus the JBV1 app with quiet ride turned on, plus waze. the v1 picks up what waze misses, the app keeps the ride quiet, just alot of visual indicators.
