I like the sportier look but can appreciate the “purist” hostility as it does muddy up the M brand. I now feel for the M users with the introduction of the “M Competition”. M is now referred to as “base”. Who wants to pay premium $ for a premium “base” car? The guys at BMW are brilliant so I assume there is logic to this strategy.

If you look at the number of M sport trims that are ordered on this forum, I'd say BMW is doing very well with the "M sport"
AMG and S line have the same thing too..
