I just installed the wiretap to wires shown in picture to my 2020 X5 M50i. I can confirm it works and will shut off about 5 min after car is turned off. Just make sure you grab the wiretap flat connectors with some needle nose pliers (because they can be hard to push in) and push alongside the wire where it will make good contact to the metal shroud (I had to disconnect the molex plug and turn it backwards to get the best angle to insert the wires).
