Yea sims aren't a replacement for real seat time, but if you take what you learn at the track and apply it to sims and vice versa, it is an extremely powerful learning/practice tool. Real track time gets expensive time and money-wise when you are trying to get a lot of seat time in.. I do about 12-15 events a year and it's just not enough by itself. But with hours and hours of sim time in between those events, you can improve at a far faster pace.
