yeah I agree..the part can not be ordered right now according to a very reliable BMW parts source. You can order the entire module for the stereo presets which includes the knob but not the knob alone right now. The preset module is $650, so I will hold off for now and order the aftermarket see if it's worth installing. If it look cheesey I will send it back or take the loss.
