It's the Chinese manufacturers that AREN'T contracted by a major sponsor, and have no QC. That's all the crap that ends up on eBay and the Wish app.
I'm gonna have to call BS on that. I run chinese rep wheels for the winter on my M4 and I've hit HUGE potholes with them. After one of those hits I was sure the wheel must have cracked or bent. It was SPOTLESS!

And yeah, X5/X6 wheels are not forged. Very few BMW wheels are forged actually. Even the comp pack 666M wheels on the M4 aren't forged.
