That’s the really annoying part: my wife can sign in to her Connected Drive account on the X5 itself and add her profile/avatar to the car (appears in Driver Profiles) and we can link her profile to the key and assign a PIN#. That’s all good.

The problem remains that when adding the X5 to her Connected Drive account in the app or website, it asks for a confirmation code sent to the vehicle. Therefore, no access to the car via app (first world problemmmm)
You might need to call your CA. There is a form that need to fill out with emergency contact info.
