11/2019.40 here in the US. Every single time I get in the car, I go to BMW App Store, and tap "Option" to refresh apps and services. I guess I got lucky, and when I hit the source button on my wheel to see my available options...I saw the Spotify logo. Tapped it, got a prompt to sign into my Spotify Premium account, and boom. Nothing about a charge or anything else...just your standard privacy policy/ToS.
I have no data plan/wifi hotspot. Never activated the 3-month trial either. I posted in the other thread with a theory that Spotify and the other available streaming companies may be footing the bill to combat Apple Music's growing subscriber base. If Apple Music streamed directly to the car, then I will definitely cancel Spotify. Who knows what BMW and the companies are doing anymore.
Nothing on my connected drive portal either...I tied it, hoping it might grandfather me into the service if it is an error!
