exactly this. since i purchased the 45e, the federal tax credit 'paid' for the ppf so technically, i didn't lose any money up front, but i do consider it
insurance vs an
investment.
FYI: after my run-in with the garage railing, the front bumper and wheel fender lip ppf + ceramic cost $700 all-in to replace. 'insurance' at work
but if this had been a comp claim, my deductible alone is $500 + a likely hit to future premiums
