Does the $812/month include 9.5% (or something comparable) in sales tax like mine does or is that the base payment? Comparing apples to apples your deal is likely better because of the discount you received off the MSRP (13.5% vs. 10.8% for mine). I don't think any SoCal dealer would be willing to give me 13.5%, unfortunately. And I typically am not a fan of putting anything down when leasing. I always roll everything in and just sign and drive (35 payments), but I figured I'd be getting $1,000 back from CCA membership and I'm skipping 2 payments on my current X5 payment ($750) because it's being transferred to someone else, so I'm technically breaking even. Sure I could put the $2,500 somewhere else and MAYBE get money on it. But I'd rather have a sub-$800 payment with taxes included.
My tax is 7%. The 812 includes it. Now I’m starting to pinpoint the percentage differences. 4% in Residual. 2.5% in tax. And slightly more in fees. So all said and done, your deal is better than I originally thought.
