Ugh.... This guy wants to hear himself talk. This is the case when a little knowledge is dangerous. He has no clue about the amount of evolutions the engine he is talking about has had. “Hot V” setups are now used by MB, BMW, etc... It is the future of where the turbos are places. The BMW club magazine “Roundel” expanded this in depth and why it is superior. They also explain how the latest generation have addressed any oil consumption and heat issues.
The take away..... It is now a non issue. This is like tearing apart today’s current 911 engine because it’s in the same place as the 911 engines that had IMS issues 15 years ago.
