Rosberg is an unlikeable idiot who comes across as an entitled brat everywhere he goes. I've met him 2x BEFORE Lewis joined Mercedes. Didn't like him then, don't like him now.

There is a reason Mercedes has cut all ties to him. Similar to Williams cutting all ties to Jacques Villeneuve. When a manufacturer cuts ties with their former WDC, it is very telling.
We don't know what happened after Nico won the championship but one can guess whatever they think. He comes over as a likeable fellow and don't forget when he was growing he spent time with Lewis. There was only one way to beat him then and he used it all to his advantage,as the saying goes when the lids drop you play for yourself.
No one tells Nico what to do unlike what some others have to follow.
