What exactly is wrong with the way the X5 drives?

Having had a 2012 X5 50i for the last four years I didn't particularly like the steering feel or power delivery of the new 40i, but the '19 50i M Sport and '20 M50i were a different story with heavier steering and immediate torque. I don't have any complaints about the way the 50i drives but then again I have the DHP with adaptive suspension, active steering, active roll stabilization, etc.
