I just gave 2 unopened boxes to my daughter. She is on the Cardiac floor and was told yesterday that one of the CCU visitors tested positive that had visited a few weeks back......and that a couple of nurses in that area are now having symptoms.
She wasn't in direct contact, but her unit and that unit swap nurses a lot.
We had them in stock because we work with chemicals. We usually keep a few boxes on hand, and then we also have full-face respirators.
But if anyone has them, please consider donating them to your local hospital.
Also I don't know if it would work....but couldn't you spray a "used" one down with an aerosol like Lysol, let it dissipate and completely "air out", and then still be able to use it again in case of an emergency?? I would think it would be better than nothing.
