The fact that the 45e is the only tax friendly SUV with a 6 cylinder engine helps a lot to accept these crazy waiting times. There are just no other options. So we accept the long wait.
Waiting times for other PHEV are similar due to shortage of batteries
Cayenne, RR sport, Q7, XC90 are to high on CO2 and tax is more than 10 K a year higher compared to the 45e. And the new GLE has a 4 cylinder diesel.
