I'm also starting to look for options. Think I've landed on replica 22" 742M staggered setup (same as summer setup). I have an M50i on order and just love the meaty look way too much. Ive had a staggered winter setup on my 335i for years and never had a problem. The rears will wear out a lot faster, but the fronts will last for multiple seasons, so I feel like things even out. I don't think there's a real winter performance concern w the staggered setup... really a question of wear and tear + cost.
