I like Hyundai/Kia/Genesis, but not enough to buy one (yet).
The 10/100K warranty really started as something to get buyers interested in the brand - it was a key differentiator. It still is, so it isn't really a show of confidence. Lots of engine issues plague various models. The dealership/service experience is one of the worst in the industry as well.
I think this is why Hyundai (parent co.) has decided to go all into EVs, with no new development of ICE technology. Hyundai has a real opportunity to lead the EV market, especially with the Japanese brands, the historic hallmarks of quality and reliability, completely and utterly dropping the ball on BEV.
