It was noted on the ordering guide that ACC wasn't offered with Sunstone Metallic so I'm not sure why people were surprised. The main reason seems to be the KAFAS high has issues with light metallic paints while the mid is fine. BMW also removed the DA package that isn't the Professional option so ACC was offered as a stand alone ie you could add it to the car with Sunstone
