Michelin now sells a rubber dressing that claims not to actually destroy rubber and vinyl like most tire dressings do. Another option if you have a CAMPING WORLD or other RV place nearby is to get some of the rubber dressing for slideout trim. It is a foam and is also safe for dressing these rubber gasket materials. They use it on $300K motorhome slide out gaskets so I think it will be fine for us too
