NFS, I have Sky HD with a Samsung HDTV (32") LE74BDX. I am very impressed with HD, particularly the Sports. There seem to be a few more HD channels than there were a few months ago, and likely to be more and more added as the months/years go by. I am pretty sure that the Sky HD Box does not support the 1080i format, it is 780i (?), that is the question I asked the sky installer.

I have the Sky Box and TV connected by an expensive HDMI cable (it cost £90 if memory serves), I have no idea if it makes a discernible difference to picture quality. I have no idea what a DVD 'upsacaler' is! I play DVDs through a Samsung HDMI DVD surround sound system.

I saw a BluRay DVD picture today in Comet, coincidentally on a Samsung 32" LCD, it looked fantastic, the colours and picture quality were superb.
