An Inline 4/6 will NEVER sound as good as a nice V8. That's engine AND exhaust.

It doesn't matter if an I6 comes in a 150k "supercar", it will just not be the same. Yes, you can make it loud, but it will not sound as good. You can make anything loud.

There's a reason that even the F1 drivers yearn for the older cars with the bigger engines - even if the new ones are faster.
Right with you on this subject. 4 or 6 cylinder engines just don't ever sound as healthy as a V8 regardless of how creative the exhaust system is.
Look how Porsche dropped the ball with their late model 718(base and S models). 2.0L and 2.5L 4 cylinder puss motors that sound like an old Ford farm tractor. Sales went right into the toilet and they responded with a N/A, 4.0L, 6 cylinder engines in both the Cayman and Boxster that sound damn good and are in high demand.
The sports/performance car enthusiasts along with many car guys in general do not need the AOCs of the world and carbon counting tree huggers determining what we get when we pay our hard earned cash and taxes for a vehicle.
