Any time you increase the wheel diameter on a vehicle, with a lower profile tire, it gives the "optical illusion" of greater wheel gap. I'm not sure what the "science" behind that is.... but it's absolutely true.
Lots of folks here looking at lowering. I think there's even a group buy that's in work for H&Rs new springs. Contact "130feetdeep" on this forum. I think he is orchestrating it. I'm on air, so I'm going with BBM drop links once my wheels arrive,.because much like you, I know the wheel gap will be evident.
Still.... wheels look great. No shame in leaving as-is either.
