Ever since 9/11 (could go further back) you're allowed to enter in the Times Square area and cannot leave the area that you enter. Plus it's way too crowded to even attempt. No booze allowed and security is nuts at least in 04 when I went. Saw people pissing on the side streets and a late 30s couple said they been coming for years wear adult diapers just in case. I thought it was cool but would never do it again. |

Here in Toronto is similar on New Year.....too many people try to flood subway after 12 and we also get penned in and the police crowd control entry.
