personally, I wouldn't unlock the full 24kWh battery. lithium ion batteries do not like sitting at full charge for an extended period of time. they especially don't like to be discharged completely where the risk of a thermal event is likely if sitting discharged for an extended time. One has to plan well and be vigilant in maintaining proper storage voltage at the end of a trip, but sometimes this isn't possible (no plug-in charging ability, forgot to engage Battery Hold, etc).

This is a good point and why, if anything, I would just flash to EU spec (but would need to run the numbers on gas savings over time). Do you know if there is anyway to set charge limit to 80-90% like on a tesla. In that case, I might do the full unlock and then set to 90%.
