No silly at all .. it means your car is no longer some metal en plastic parts but is ready to be assembled to your specific requirements en needs.
I only received my VIN after the car was in status 155 so after it was completely assembled. The site mentioned above (mdecoder.com)
works very well and at least I have confirmation that all the options I ordered are inside.
I also tried adding it to the app on my phone and got a picture but it needs the confirmation code displayed on the car display to fully link the car. I imagine somebody sitting in the car @ the plant and thinking: "Another impatient fool
